With Easter fast approaching I thought I would dabble with the theme and see what comes of it. I found this cute little Easter Girl and coloured her skin and hair using E00, E02, E33, E35, E37 and her Jumpsuit using RV000, RV4, RV6, RV10, RV13 and RV21. I used X-Press It Blending Card and think she has come out quite cute.
Now you all know that I prefer to concentrate on experimenting with Copic techniques rather than on the card making itself and so this leads me to the " egg-citing" part of this card.....the background!
I created the background from scratch.....yes that's right. There is no stamped image at all in the background. I used the Copic Airbrush system (which I love) to create the sky and clouds. Then I used my multiliner to draw up the pavement, and my C-1, C-3 and C-5 to create the shadow on the footpath. I added a little bit of grass just to soften the edges....and voila....a handmade background!
The card itself is pretty basic and nothing flash, but I really wanted to keep the focus on the image and background techniques!
